Things you might be wondering

Do attendees need to install anything?

No. They open a link in their phone browser, tap one button, and put in their headphones. That's it. Works on iPhone, Android, anything with a modern browser.

How good is the translation quality?

Powered by OpenAI's GPT-Realtime-Translate, launched May 2026. It's state-of-the-art for Dutch → English — handles idioms, context, and natural speech patterns well. Not perfect, but surprisingly close to a human interpreter for general content.

What happens to the audio data?

Audio is streamed to OpenAI for translation in real time. We don't store recordings. parolo itself collects zero listener data — no accounts, no tracking, no cookies beyond what's technically necessary.

What if I go over my plan limits?

Free and Event Pass users can upgrade anytime. Community Plan subscribers get €5/hour overage — if you regularly need more, we'll set you up with an Enterprise plan that fits.

What happens if the internet goes down?

The translation requires an internet connection. We recommend a stable WiFi connection for the broadcaster. If the connection drops, the system automatically reconnects within seconds.

Can I switch plans mid-event?

Yes. If your event runs longer than expected, you can upgrade on the spot. Your listeners won't notice a thing — the translation keeps running.
